Exciting opportunity to use your
key engineering design skills to help deliver complex civil projects for the
Manningham community. This role plays a vital role in scoping and managing
civil infrastructure projects. You will join a collaborative and people focused

About the
Role
This position is responsible for the design and
administration of the infrastructure projects for Manningham. This is achieved
through the evaluation of design problems through to designing or managing
consultants to develop construction plans for tendering. Often, you will be
required to think on your feet and adapt to changing conditions- be that
underground services, or topography, amongst others, to ensure works get
designed to a high standard.
Skills and
Experience
- Equivalent of a Degree in Civil Engineering or
related field with experience in the design of traffic treatments, shared path
projects and/or drainage. - A professional with ability to undertake the
design of complex civil projects. - A project delivery professional who is able to
effectively and economically plan and implement the design process in line with
Council requirements, industry standards and legislative requirements. - A problem solver, able to resolve design issues
including cultural heritage, planning and environmental impacts. - Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and
/ or Civil Site Design for the design of roads, drains and traffic improvement
works is essential. - A project delivery professional who is able to
supervise consultants in the delivery of acceptable design solutions. - Experience in ESD and managing construction
contracts is desirable.
