  • Temporary full-time position available until June 2027
  • 35 hours per week 9 day fortnight with RDO
  • Flexible/hybrid working arrangments including working from home

About the role

Our Procurement Officer is responsible for providing procurement support to internal stakeholders and management including identification of requirements, delivery of the appropriate sourcing strategy, tender/quotation document preparation, lead sourcing evaluation processes, and assistance with category management planning.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Support the preparation, review and delivery of tenders, quotations, EOIs, procurement plans, contract documents and specifications to achieve value for money outcomes.
  • Lead and support procurement evaluation, tender administration, record keeping, contract documentation and use of Council’s eProcurement systems in line with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to internal stakeholders on procurement, tendering and contract processes, while contributing to category management plans and other assigned projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree Qualification in Procurement / Supply Chain / Contract Management / Business or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence

Other important information

  • The commencing salary for this position is up to 92.9k. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of 107.7k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus12% superannuation
  • We have a temporary full-time role available
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
