About the role

This is a permanent full-time role in the Parks and Recreation Services team, based from Batemans Bay.The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effectiveoperation of mobile plant and attachments, while undertaking labouring duties that support Supervisors and/or Assistant Supervisors in delivering a safe, efficient, and well-organised project or activity.

The starting salary for this position is $2,395.37 per annum/fortnight plus 12% superannuation.

About you

You enjoy working outdoors and bring hands-on labouring experience, along with a practical understanding of plant and equipment used in construction and maintenance activities. Your positive, can-do attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team will see you thrive in delivering quality outcomes across a range of projects. To be successful you will also demonstrate:

  • Relevant Certificate III level qualification or willingness and ability to obtain with Council assistance.
  • The ability and motivation to undertake physically demanding labouring tasks in parks maintenance and construction environments
  • A commitment to ongoing learning, including completing relevant training and development opportunities
  • Sound communication skills, with basic literacy and numeracy required for the role.
