About the Opportunity
An exciting role has become available for an experienced Personal Assistant to join our dynamic and busy Sport, Community Facilities and Events team. The successful candidate will provide a high level of executive assistance to the Manager Sport, Community Facilities and Events and will be responsible for researching, preparing draft reports, minutes, diary and meeting management, word processing, and liaise with a wide range of internal staff and external parties.
This is an opportunity for someone who is highly organised and has the ability to build strong working relationships through effective communication and discretion in handling confidential information. This role requires someone who has a keen eye for detail, is reliable and has the ability to prioritise to deliver assigned tasks on time.
What We Offer
- Temporary, Full-Time position - 70 hours per fortnight (12 months due to parental leave cover)
- Salary from $73,331.53 - $84,965.51 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation (dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate)

The successful candidate will have
- Certificate III (3) in Business Administration or equivalent or demonstrated professional experience
- Class C Drivers’ Licence
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Personal Assistant or similar role
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and experience
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills and experience working effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated high level diary and correspondence management skills and experience
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills and experience
- Demonstrated high level skills and experience in delivering customer service
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite as well as content management systems and technology in a corporate or equivalent setting
- Willingness and availability to work outside of business hours as required for operational requirements including minute taking at the Georges River Council Sports Advisory Committee
Desirable
- Technical competence and experience using Content Manager (CM) and Technology One systems relevant to local government
- Experience working in local government or community organisations that deliver community development programs and events
- Experience in project coordination
Suitable candidate will be required to commence on Monday 28th July 2025.
