This role will allow you to enhance the open space areas of Mosman through the planning and construction of open space capital work projects and overseeing the Parks and Open Space Asset Management Plan.

What You’ll Be Working On

Your day-to-day work will involve facilitating community consultation, preparation of detailed briefs, tender packages, contract documentation and specifications for construction of open space improvements such as playground improvements, street tree planting, signage works and minor infrastructure work. You will also supervise the construction and implementation of these open space projects within allocated budgets and timeframes.

In addition, you will oversee Council’s playground maintenance program and updates to Council’s Parks and Open Space Asset Management Plan (AMP). This involves coordinating and conducting inspections of open space asset, reporting their condition, disposing of assets, and ensuring all the new assets are captured.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

To be successful in this role you will hold tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Landscape Design / Construction or relevant technical discipline and/or at least 3 years’ relevant experience with demonstrated equivalent skills.

You will have highly developed skills in project management, procurement and contract administration, successfully utilised in delivering projects. With experience in managing multiple open space capital works projects and/or contracts.

In addition to the above you will also hold a a current C class drivers licence. As the position receives a car allowance a valid drivers license and supply of own car is required.
