  • Salary $43,024.80 to $49,280.40 p/a + super

About the role

Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Trainee to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to build a career in the marketing and communications field within local government.

 

Reporting to the Venues Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the creation and execution of marketing and communication campaigns
  • Contribute to the development of digital content, including website, social media, and newsletters
  • Support the coordination of community events and promotional activities
  • Help maintain and update marketing materials and communication platforms
  • Monitor and report on the performance of campaigns and social media engagement
  • Assist with internal communications and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Provide administrative support

 

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Completion of Higher School Certificate
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Commitment to complete the Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication qualification
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment
