About the role

This position is a permanent full-time role in the Workshop team and is based at Council’s Moruya Depot. The role utilises a range of skills to machine, fabricate and repair components/equipment and perform other metal trade tasks as required.

The starting salary for this position is $3,120.34 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation.

About you

The successful applicant will possess a Trade Certificate with relevant experience and the ability to work well in a small team. Your interest in the field, strong communication and self-motivated approach will be a standout and contribute to your overall success and job satisfaction. Your application will further demonstrate:

  • Experience working on fixed and mobile plant, light vehicles, heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment.
  • Fitness and ability to work at heights and in underground/confined spaces.
  • Experience in the use of vehicle mounted cranes and overhead travelling gantries.
  • Ability to utilise technology and software programs.
