Permanent | Part-time | 54hours per fortnight (0.71FTE)
Rostered hours will be worked in line with the library’s current opening hours, including evening and Saturday shifts.
Library hours: Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 7.00pm, Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Saturday 9.00am to 12:00pm
$71,879.40 to $78,484.10 (pro rata per annum)
Under the City of Kwinana's structured remuneration system, this position is classified as a PACS Band 4.

What is on Offer
A fantastic opportunity exists for a dedicated and experienced Library Officer to join our amazing Library Services Team. Reporting to the Library Operations Supervisor, you will work collaboratively with team members and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming, engaging library spaces. This role plays a key part in supporting daily library operations while providing guidance, advice and information on library resources and services. Through your work, you will help promote library services, increase membership, and encourage greater community use of our libraries
Candidates with experience in the delivery of activities or programs will be highly regarded. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Library Officer who is passionate about supporting and serving the community.

What You Will Need
- Previous working experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to resolve referencing and research enquiries and knowledge of various Library technological systems.
- Understanding of different types of literacy and ability to facilitate community acquisition of literacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve to improve the customer experience.
- Recommend and implement approved changes that will improve Library operations and services to the community.
- Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Current National Police Clearance and Driver’s licence. And First aid or willingness to obtain.
- Availability to work afterhours and weekends as rostered and required.
