  • Location: Working at Mission Beach, Innisfail, Tully & Cardwell Library Branches

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and contributing to your community? We are currently seeking a Library & Customer Service Officer to join our team on a casual basis. In this dynamic role, you will work across our library branches and customer service areas, supporting a wide range of services that make a real difference to our community.

 About the Role
As a Library & Customer Service Officer, you will collaborate with customer-facing teams across the organisation to deliver high-quality services and foster a positive, inclusive environment. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, community-focused, and enjoys working in a team setting.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver library services that meet the needs of the community
  • Plan and deliver engaging library programs and events
  • Assist in the maintenance and organisation of library collections
  • Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally
  • Coordinate information requests with other Council departments
  • Handle and reconcile financial transactions
  • Support the setup and delivery of various local events

 What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work across different locations and schedules
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in a library or customer service environment (desirable)
