Georges River Council has an exciting role for a Librarian Information Technology to join the Library Services team in Hurstville.
About The Role
As the Librarian Information Technology you will report in directly to the Team Leader Library IT, whilst providing library technology, systems and digital services to support the accessibility and delivery of library services and resources.
In this role you will:
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate self-service and various technology solutions that support the access to library collections and services
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate the implementation, troubleshooting and evaluation of library systems (including Library Management System), websites and digital services that support access to library collections and services
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate the collection, analysis and reporting of library statistics and data to inform decision making and evaluation of library services
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate programs and procedures to support staff and community members in the use of library technology, digital resources and emerging technologies
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate relationships and consultation practises with key stakeholders within Council and the community to facilitate the delivery of library systems, technology and digital resources
What we can offer you
- Permanent, Full time - 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $81,546.21 - $94,483.59 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation (dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate)

What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Studies at librarian level, or an equivalent qualification, or working towards gaining qualifications
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Demonstrated high level skills and experience in developing, implementing and maintenance of functional system and technological solutions, including content management systems and self-service technologies, in public libraries or equivalent organisations
- Demonstrated high level skills and experience in system management and administration, including databases management, data reporting and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated understanding of current public library technology and digital resource trends
- Strong commitment and proven ability to deliver a high quality, customer focused library service
- Demonstrated analytical, time management, organisational, financial, project management and creative problem-solving skills
- Highly developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including effective negotiation, consultation and consensus building
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite as well as content management systems and technology in a public library or equivalent setting
