Permanent full-time position
38 hours a week + Rostered Day off every fortnight
Salary: $65,281.84 - $ 75,868.52 + 12% Superannuation per annum
What you'll do
As a Landscape Crew Member, you'll report to the relevant Team Leader and deliver a range of high-quality landscaping services across Council’s parks and open spaces, streetscapes, civic areas, parks and roadside gardens. You’ll contribute to maintaining and enhancing public spaces to ensure they are safe, visually appealing and maintained in accordance with agreed service levels, customer expectations and community standards.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll undertake a variety of landscaping and landscape construction activities while operating small to medium-sized plant and maintenance equipment. This includes assisting with the maintenance and presentation of Council assets while ensuring works are completed efficiently and safely.
You'll contribute to a strong Workplace Health and Safety culture by applying safe work practices, participating in training and demonstrating sound judgement in day-to-day operations. This role may also require participation in on-call rosters and overtime where operational needs arise.

What you'll need (Essential Criteria)
- Demonstrated experience and interest in landscaping and landscape construction activities.
- Hold competency qualifications to operate Excavator and Skid Steer machinery.
- Hold a current MR or HR Class Driver Licence and WHS Induction Card.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders in delivering operational and maintenance services.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications and operating devices including iPads effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling systems to facilitate day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate small to medium-sized landscape machinery, plant and maintenance equipment including excavators and skid steer machinery.
Other Requirements
- Maintain an MR Class Driver Licence without restriction and ability to operate manual transmission.
- Provide evidence of Tetanus immunisation or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Participate in on-call rosters and overtime where applicable.
- Complete a pre-employment medical assessment and satisfy fitness requirements prior to commencement.
