Fixed Term Contract – Three years
Full-time (average of 38 hours per week)

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Landfill Engineer to provide exceptional strategic and operational leadership, direction, development, mentoring and support for the Civil/Capital Projects within waste and landfill services.  This role is responsible for:

  • Coordinating the development, implementation and delivery of the civil and capital programmes
  • Preparing contract documentation and technical specifications
  • End-to-end management of capital projects, from initial scope through to procurement of goods and services, compliance with legislative requirements, management of the project budget and reporting on financial performance, and close-off of the completed project
  • Ensuring compliance with work health and safety requirements in construction projects
  • Providing practical design and construction support in a timely manner for all type of civil works.

Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and Project Management is essential for this role, as is demonstrated knowledge and experience in project/contract management of civil infrastructure or construction projects.  You have highly developed leadership and team building skills, with the ability to build positive team cultures.  Passionate about safety in the workplace, you are able to manage a range of stakeholders to through the project journey. 

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and highly developed financial management skills to manage a range of stakeholders, while prioritising your own work and scheduling the work of others to ensure all tasks are performed within the agreed timeframes.

We are offering a salary of $125,820 - $136,093 (dependent on skills and experience) per annum, and:  

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
