  • Salary: $38 - $42 per hour plus 11% Super

About the roles
The Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre is searching for suitable individuals to join their dynamic and professional Team at the state-of-the-art venue. Work as part of a team providing technical services to the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre; Provide a high level of support and technical assistance to the Technical Coordinator; Operate lighting, sound and/or staging equipment at a general level.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Coordinator – Technical, the focus of this position is to:

  • Ensures that all communication provided is correct, factual, timely, customer-focused and in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements and Council procedures.
  • Ensures the Supervisor or Coordinator is aware of difficult/sensitive issues which arise.
  • Shares information within the work group to ensure others are kept informed of issues
  • Lead a team of general and entry level operators in general labouring and cleaning duties as required to create a clean and safe environment for clients and/or.
  • Lead a small team of general and entry level technicians for the Bump in, Operation and Bump out of complex theatrical productions and/or.
  • Safely install theatre lighting, sound and video equipment to complex plans and specifications supplied by clients to fulfil design needs
  • Construct/erect scenic elements to plans and specifications supplied by clients to fulfil design needs

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • Theatre and / or events experience with knowledge of procedures and / or techniques
  • Current SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White card)
  • Current Working at Heights certification
  • Current Class C Driver’s licence
  • Current Working with children check number
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
