  • Salary: $77,416.04 - $90,120.68 p.a. plus 11% Super
  • Permanent/Full-Time
  • Payment of Adverse Working Conditions – Level 1 Allowance
About the role
This is a permanent, full time role, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 4.00 pm, located at Shoalhaven Waters Operational Depot, 6 Flinders Road, South Nowra.

Work clothes, tools, laptop, work phone and iPad are provided.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Coordinator – Electrical North, the focus of this position is to:

  • Provide quality, timely and efficient electrical installation, maintenance, and breakdown services.
  • Install and maintain electrical devices related to the water industry.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies, ensuring risks are managed.
  • Breakdown (fault finding and repair), preventative maintenance and installation services for commercial and industrial electrical assets relevant to Councils property and systems – sites may include water and sewerage infrastructure, Council buildings and other assets.
  • Breakdown (fault finding and repair), preventative maintenance and installation services for instrumentation and process control equipment, ie Supervisor Control & Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA), PLC control systems, level control systems and dosing systems.
  • Compliance testing and result recording of all electrical articles as per legislative requirements

On call – Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • Electrical Trade qualification
  • Electrical Supervisors Licence
  • Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation or equivalent post training in a specialist field or demonstrated competency to the equivalent level.
  • Current Class c Drivers Licence
  • WorkCover Construction Induction card
  • Ability to obtain a Confined Spaces certification and Chlorine Handling Awareness, and work in both areas.
  • Experience working at heights on poles and towers and in Elevated Work Platforms.
  • Ability to obtain a High Voltage access permit issuers certificate.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).
