About The Role
The Injury Management Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Council's Injury Management and Work Health and Safety systems. This position is responsible for managing injury claims, ensuring compliance with self-insurance regulations and workers compensation legislation, and developing effective return-to-work strategies for injured employees.
By working closely with various stakeholders, the Injury Management Officer will help foster a culture of safety and support within the organisation, ensuring that all employees have the resources they need.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of qualifications and experience in injury management and claims processing. We are seeking an individual with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build effective relationships across various levels of the organisation.
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in injury/claims management.
- Proven experience with workers’ compensation legislation, self-insurance regulations, claims management and injury management processes.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centred approach.
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and operate effectively within a dynamic environment.

- Package: $80,196 - $89,815 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full-Time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month with flex-time arrangement.
