As an Infrastructure Planning Engineer shape the future of our growing community through delivering safe and effective infrastructure for current and future communities. This dynamic role combines technical expertise with stakeholder engagement, allowing you to work directly with landholders, developers, and internal teams to secure vital infrastructure corridors while preparing compelling business cases and funding applications for transformative projects. Join our forward-thinking team and make a lasting impact by ensuring every new development aligns with our strategic vision, from reviewing utility designs to coordinating land acquisitions that will unlock our community's potential.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Contributing to development of strategic infrastructure plans and transportation strategies for future development areas
- Ensuring Strategic Infrastructure Plans are integrated into Infrastructure
Contribution Plans and future works programs - Reviewing new developments to ensure planning and infrastructure are
aligned with corporate strategies and standards - Coordinating the acquisition of land and easements for future growth
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; or relevant tertiary qualifications with extensive Civil Engineering Design experience
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent stakeholder and customer management skills
- Ability to organise and manage conflicting work priorities
- Well-developed report writing and communication skills
We would also love you to have:
- Extensive design experience in Local Government civil works

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $93,725 to $108,924. A leaseback vehicle is also available.
