About the Role
Join our passionate and enthusiastic team as an Industrial Electrician! You'll provide high-quality, efficient electrical installations, maintenance and breakdown services, ensuring our operations run smoothly and effectively.
Reporting directly to the Coordinator - Electrical North, the main responsibilities of this role include:
- Breakdown fault finding and repair services
- Providing preventative maintenance and installation services for
- commercial and industrial electrical assets relevant to Council's properties and systems including water and sewage infrastructure, Council buildings and other assets.
- instrumentation and process control equipment, eg Supervisor Control & Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA), PLC control systems, level control systems and dosing systems.
- Compliance testing and result recording of all electrical articles as per legislative requirements
- Provide advice on the operation of process equipment and to customers regarding plant operations and minor improvements.
- Manage projects and undertake services to meet customers' expectations, within agreed cost and timeframes.

Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime, as per a roster, is a requirement of this position.
The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Electrical Trade qualification.
- Electrical Supervisors Licence.
- Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation of equivalent post trade training in a specialist field or demonstrated competency to equivalent level.
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- WorkCover Construction Induction card.
- Ability to obtain a Confined Spaces certification and Chlorine Handling Awareness and work in both areas.
- Experience working at heights on poles and towers and in Elevated Work Platforms.
- Ability to obtain a High Voltage access permit issuers qualification.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
