ICT Operations and Security Officer

Are you a seasoned ICT professional with a passion for system administration and cyber security?

We're seeking a senior systems administrator/cyber security specialist to lead the management and protection of our hybrid ICT environment. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our core systems while spearheading cybersecurity initiatives aligned with the ASD Essential Eight and ISO standards.

What you'll do

• System Administration and support of the City's Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, along with the management and maintenance of on-premises systems and business-critical applications
• Analyse, review and respond to security alerts, events and vulnerabilities including implementing mitigation activities
• Lead cybersecurity projects and support incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery planning
• Work collaboratively across teams to deliver a secure and resilient digital environment

Please note, the successful applicant will be required to participate in an emergency after hours on-call roster, which is shared across the team.

What you'll bring

• Degree in ICT or equivalent experience
• Strong skills in system admin, cybersecurity and cloud platforms
• Experience with Microsoft 365 admin, Azure AD, PowerShell and managing complex ICT environments
• Ability to lead projects, solve problems, and think analytically
