Join Our Team as a Horticulturist – Help Shape the City’s Green Spaces!
Are you passionate about plants, parks, and creating beautiful outdoor environments? We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Horticulturist to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the City’s landscapes — from garden beds and manicured turf to vibrant playgrounds and vital green infrastructure. In this hands-on role, you’ll also provide expert oversight across our Parks areas and act as an essential support to the Team Leader, helping ensure our public spaces remain welcoming, safe, and thriving for the whole community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of daily and weekly landscape maintenance across the City’s parks and streetscapes;
• Identify future landscape and asset maintenance needs including garden beds, turf, playground and park infrastructure and furniture;
• Provide expert horticultural advice and leadership on the maintenance and management of amenities; and
• Liaise with contractors and staff to ensure the City’s landscape and maintenance programs are completed in accordance with industry best practice and City standards.

Who We’re Looking For:

A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have advanced knowledge of current amenity horticulture practices, equipment and their application, along with knowledge of safe working practices and Work, Health and Safety issues.
