About the role
We are seeking a visionary Geospatial Systems Lead to shape the future of spatial systems across our dynamic Council. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead a skilled team of three spatial specialists, overseeing strategic projects and the daily operational excellence of spatial services.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a collaborative team of spatial specialists.
- Drive the transformation and advancement of spatial technologies, mapping platforms, and property information systems.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver tailored and innovative spatial solutions.
- Oversee impactful projects from inception through successful implementation.
- Ensure continuous improvement and integration of spatial solutions across Council services.
About you
You are a dynamic spatial technology leader, passionate about innovation and adept at driving meaningful change.
- Tertiary qualifications or certification in GIS or related spatial fields.
- Proven experience leading teams, managing projects, and delivering outcomes in spatial technologies.
- Expertise with cloud-based mapping platforms, spatial data analysis, and GIS development.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of translating technical insights to non-technical audiences.
- Commitment to innovation, accuracy, and continual learning in spatial technologies.
- Current Drivers Licence Class C.
