Find purpose and impact

Join the team at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) as a Functions Officer, where you’ll play a key role in bringing events to life from conferences and community functions to theatre experiences and special events.

Working alongside a supportive Front of House team, you’ll be right in the action setting up spaces, coordinating event delivery, supporting clients and ensuring every detail is executed seamlessly. Whether you’re preparing a corporate conference, supporting a live performance, or helping create a memorable community event, your work will have a direct impact on the experience of our community and visitors.

With events across both Dubbo and Wellington, this is an exciting opportunity to build your skills, take ownership on the floor, and be part of a team that takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences.

You’ll make
an impact by:

  • Bringing events to life through hands-on set up, pack down and on-the-floor coordination
  • Acting as the Duty Person, ensuring events run smoothly and safely
  • Supporting clients and responding to their needs in real time to deliver exceptional outcome
  • Ensuring venues and surrounding areas are presented to a high standard before, during and after events
  • Completing
    event reports and reconciliations accurately
  • Liaising
    with clients to collate and maintain accurate event details in operating
    systems
  • Providing friendly, professional customer service in person, over the phone and via email

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, friendly approach

  • Experience supporting events, including set up and pack down in a professional setting

  • Attention to detail and confidence completing administrative tasks

  • Ability to troubleshoot and take initiative during live events

  • Experience with bar operations and point of sale systems

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $61,943 to $71,987
