About the Role

The Finance Systems Analyst supports the administration, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Council's integrated financial systems. The role provides system support, manages user access, resolves issues, and works to enhance financial processes and system performance across the organisation. This includes:

  • Coordinate and support the development, review and implementation of Council's financial systems including,
    • TechnologyOne - including Financials, Budgeting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Rates, and Enterprise Cash Receipting
    • ExpenseMe Pro - Council's Credit Card expense system
    • Fees and Charges system
  • Facilitate the financial month end and end of year financial processes
  • Provide guidance and support to financial system users by investigating, analysing and resolving complex or challenging problems, testing anomalies to ensure correct procedures / processes are used and developing, documenting and implementing solutions.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Hold an Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology degree or equivalent/substantial relevant experience working with finance systems.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)

We are looking for a proactive and customer focused professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with financial systems, a keen eye for process improvement, and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. They will be collaborative, detail oriented, and committed to delivering high quality support while contributing positively to a team driven environment.

Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
