Finance Business Partner

The Package: $102,645.28 - $112,375.52 gross per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 14 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) (inclusive of market premium) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

In this role you will:

• Partner with service managers to deliver budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis that supports effective decision-making across Council services.
• Provide expert advice and training on budget management, financial systems, and compliance with audit and taxation requirements.
• Monitor budget performance, analyse variances and identify risks and improvement opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Tertiary Qualification in Accounting and/or Commerce.
• Has extensive experience in the preparation of financial statements.
• Is experienced in cost benefit analysis, financial planning and budgetary control.
• Has experience in a local government finance environment and knowledge of TechnologyOne suite.
