Fabricator/ Boiler Maker
About the Opportunity

this, we are seeking an experienced Fabricator / Boilermaker to
undertake manufacturing, welding and metal fabrication across Council’s plant,
fleet, ferries and other assets.
This is a hands-on role where you will work across a variety
of fabrication, repair and refurbishment activities while supporting the safe
and reliable operation of Council’s fleet and equipment.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Certificate
III qualification in Welding / Boilermaking. - Demonstrated
experience in metal fabrication. - Demonstrated
TIG welding experience. - Demonstrated
experience in body building and manufacturing. - The
ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with
other trades and team members. - A
strong commitment to safe work practices and compliance with WHS
requirements. - A
current Motor Vehicle Driver Licence.
On a typical day this role will:
- Manufacture,
fabricate, repair and refurbish Council plant, fleet, ferries and other
assets. - Complete
service body fit-outs, installations and repairs in accordance with
manufacturer specifications and Council standards. - Undertake
TIG welding and general metal fabrication activities across a range of
jobs. - Work
collaboratively with other trades and stakeholders to deliver works
efficiently and to schedule. - Maintain
accurate job records and manage materials, steel, parts and consumables
required for fabrication and repair work.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per
week with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,410.68 per
week with the opportunity for competency-based progression up to $1578.99
per week.
Allowances: Adverse Working Level 1, Tool Allowance
