About the Opportunity 

Georges River Council is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to shape the future of our city through operational excellence and visionary leadership.

As Executive Manager City Presentation and Operations, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of key depot-based services including civil maintenance, parks and sports field upkeep, fleet management, and operational procurement. Your leadership will ensure our public spaces and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards - efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

The role is pivotal in driving innovation, aligning operations with Council's strategic priorities, and fostering a high performance, collaborative team culture. You'll provide expert advice to the Executive Team, Councillors, and other stakeholders, and make a lasting impact on the livability and presentation of the Georges River area.

What We Offer

  • Permanent, Full-Time 
  • Salary from $197,010.55 - $228.043.89 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation

What We’re Looking For 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or a related discipline, and extensive senior leadership experience with a proven track record in engineering, financial, people, and project management.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building, with the ability to engage effectively with Councillors, executive leadership, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in business performance improvement, organisational transformation, budgeting and cost control, performance management, and implementation of quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to model organisational values, drive cultural alignment, and lead with integrity and accountability.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, mentoring, and fostering a strong customer-focused culture.
  • High-level problem solving and decision making skills, with the initiative to lead and adapt to change in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, ethical practice, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and workplace health and safety principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all stakeholders to address high-priority, complex, and often sensitive issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and appropriately to a diverse range of audiences.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence (minimum).
  • Valid SIRA (WorkCover) White Card – Occupational Health and Safety General Induction.
