We are looking for a qualified and experienced events professional to join our Community and Culture team.

Your Position:
As the Events Producer you will be responsible for the planning, promotion, coordination, delivery and evaluation of Council’s community, cultural and civic events and activations that promote the creativity, diversity and vibrancy of the Burwood community. You will produce, co-ordinate and deliver a range of events, activations and programs in which enhance and celebrate local vitality and diversity. This will include planning and delivery of major activations including festivals, events and community initiatives.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with community organisations seeking to run events in our parks and assist them in developing fun, safe and inclusive community events.
To perform this role effectively, the successful applicant must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Event Management, Tourism Management, Stage Management and Production, Project Management and/or equivalent demonstrated work experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of events management and coordination of all event elements
- High level experience in developing risk management strategies for large-scale public events, emergency and crowd management planning, meeting industry guidelines
- Exceptional organisational, written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels of management, with internal and external stakeholders and staff assisting with events
- Availability to work out of hours and on weekends as required
Key Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination for all employees (minimum of 2 Vaccines)
- Willingness to complete a National Police History Check (where applicable)
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment (where applicable)
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
- Current Working With Children Check
