About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Engineering Coordinator to join our Subdivision and Development Certification team for a period of up to 12 months. As the Engineering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering input to the delivery of new development and precinct planning to various stakeholders, support, and coordinate team members with technical backgrounds

 

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure that subdivision and development of land is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation by efficiently coordinating or undertaking Development Application engineering assessments.
  • Undertake or post consent applications including Subdivision Works Certificates, Roads Act 1993 and Local Government Act 1993 approvals relating to development or general engineering works and compliance certificates.
  • Provide support, and coordination of the work of nine professional staff engaged in subdivision development application engineering and planning.
  • Ensure that engineering policies and practices are established and updated to ensure significant improvements are made in the delivery of public infrastructure in the Shire.

 

What are we seeking in our new team member:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • White Card - General Construction Induction
  • Demonstrated experience in the Development Application engineering assessment and determination process (min 5 years).
  • Practical experience using and reviewing MUSIC and DRAINS models.
  • Demonstrated experience with Subdivision Works Certificates, Roads Act 1993 approvals related to engineering works and Local Government Act approvals

 

Position Details:

Temporary full-time role, salary starting from $120K + Superannuation + Car Allowance of $14,181.96 + 3.5% civil liability allowance.
