About the role

This position is a permanent part-time role in the Children’s Services team, based at Narooma Out of School Hours (OOSH) Centre at Narooma Public School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and caring OOSH service, where the safety, wellbeing and best interests of every child are the paramount consideration in all decisions and actions. The role includes developing and implementing educational programs, preparing reports and Quality Improvement Plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

The starting salary for this position is $37.26 per hour, plus 12% superannuation.

About you

As an OOSH Educational Leader you will be an enthusiastic leader who is passionate and committed to educating and nurturing children from all communities, teaching respect, resilience and confidence. Your application should further demonstrate:

  • Team leadership skills and experience
  • Experience documenting and maintaining records
  • Well-developed communication skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of the Law, Regulations and Standards for Education and Care Services.

Screening process

Pre‑employment Checks:

As part of our recruitment process, you may be asked to provide contact details for two work‑related referees. These will be collected at the interview stage. At least one referee should be your current supervisor or a recent past supervisor (of at least three months).

Depending on the position, successful applicants may also be required to complete a Criminal History Check, Medical Assessment and/or a Working with Children Check.
