The PERFECT Opportunity

Our Design and Project Engineer is responsible for the delivery of Council’s projects through in-house or contract delivery where appropriate, including the procurement of detailed designs, cost estimates and project schedules.

You will work with the Manager Civil Infrastructure and have day to day management of Council’s Road Maintenance Council Contract, including the development of required management plans.

You will also provide development engineering advice to Council’s Planning Section as required.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering at a degree level.
  • You have demonstrated experience in civil works and project management.
  • You have demonstrated initiative, problem solving and time management skills.
  • You have an excellent understanding of work health and safety (WHS) and commitment to a positive safety culture in the workplace.
  • You will be a team player who takes a collaborative approach when working with people.

The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is a diverse organisation employing over 120 staff across a wide variety of fields who deliver a range of services to the local government area encompassing Blackville, Caroona, Currabubula, Pine Ridge, Premer, Quirindi, Spring Ridge, Wallabadah, Werris Creek and Willow Tree and the almost 8000 residents who reside there.

You will be rewarded for all your hard work with a competitive salary. This Grade 6 position has a salary range from $78,785-$100,851, negotiable depending qualifications and experience, plus 3.5% civil liability allowance and 11% superannuation.
