Customer Service/Service NSW/Tourism
Gwydir Shire Council is seeking a motivated and
customer-focused individual to join our team in a full-time, diverse frontline
role based in Warialda.
This is an exciting opportunity to be the face of
Council, providing high-quality service to residents, visitors, and
stakeholders across Customer Service, Service NSW, and the Visitor Information
Centre.
About the Role
This varied position provides frontline customer service
across multiple functions, including:
- Council customer service
enquiries (in person, phone, and online) - Delivery of Service NSW
transactions and support services - Promotion of local
tourism and visitor experiences through the Visitor Information Centre - Administrative duties
and cash handling - Assisting with community
enquiries, bookings, and general Council services
This role requires flexibility and a positive approach to
working across a broad range of service areas.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have excellent
communication and interpersonal skills - Demonstrate strong
customer service experience and professionalism - Be adaptable and
comfortable working across multiple service areas - Have sound computer and
administrative skills - Be able to manage
competing priorities in a busy environment - Have an interest in
tourism and promoting the Gwydir Shire region (desirable)
Previous experience in customer service, Service NSW, or a
visitor information centre is highly regarded.
