We are seeking an experienced and professional Youth Coordinator with a passion for youth engagement.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
- Oversee the design, development, coordination and provision of program activities including the Shire's weekly Youth Drop-In service, as well as school holiday programs, youth-related grants and funding programs, youth events and other targeted support programs.
- Lead and undertake appropriate community engagement processes to inform the delivery of events, programs and activities relevant to young people.
- Undertake staff supervision, recruitment, training and performance review requirements, including providing support to staff for continual professional development purposes.
- Lead and contribute to the development of policies and procedures relevant to the Youth Development Team to support delivery of safe and effective program outcomes.
- Develop and foster ongoing relationships with funding bodies (including but not limited to state and Federal Departments) and corporate sponsors, as relevant to the functions of the Youth team.
Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and skillset:
- Relevant qualifications and minimum three years' experience in the area of Youth Work, Social Work, Community Services and/or Community Development.
- Proven ability to motivate, lead and manage teams to maximise their performance and job satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partnerships and with service providers, government agencies, education providers and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of community development principles
- Experience in managing budgets, securing funding and administering grants for youth or community programs and initiatives.

We will negotiate a great salary with you up to $97,000 depending on the experience you bring to the role.
