The Role
Reporting to the Manager People and Development and based in Windsor, the
WHS Coordinator will play a role in developing and driving the safety and
wellbeing strategy within the organisation, including the use of innovative
systems that promote safety and healthy work practices as well as respond to
WHS risk management issues.
About You
You will be an experienced WH&S professional who has demonstrated
experience in delivering best practice WH&S solutions within organisations.
You will have extensive experience in leading inspections and investigations in
high-risk environments, experience understanding and interpreting relevant
legislation and can demonstrate strong business acumen. You will have leadership experience along with well
developed interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to effectively engage and
communicate with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Demonstrated extensive experience in developing
and continually improving the WHS and Injury Management systems - Detailed knowledge of WHS legislation,
regulations, codes of practice and standards - Ability to prepare risk assessment reports
across a range of disciplines - Knowledge and experience operating in blue
collar environments e.g construction, transport, manufacturing etc - Experience in developing and overseeing safety
and wellness strategies - Extensive experience developing and delivering
a large program of safety initiatives to a broad group of stakeholders
across the organisation - Demonstrated change management skills, experience
in providing direction and the ability to motivate a small team and work
across teams to engage Safety representatives - The right to live and work in Australia
- Class C Drivers Licence
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Successful applicants will be required to
undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
