Coordinator Sports Turf
Sutherland Shire Council is looking for a skilled Coordinator Sports Turf to oversee the day-to-day operations of our sport precinct maintenance programs.
In this role, you’ll coordinate internal teams, contractors, and volunteers to ensure our playing surfaces and associated assets meet the highest standards for our community. You’ll drive continuous improvement, foster a positive team culture and ensure safety is always a top priority — all while aligning your work with Council goals and values.
About the Role:

Lead day-to-day sports turf operations and maintenance programs across multiple sites

Manage work schedules, service levels, and technical delivery standards

Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and suppliers

Promote a strong safety culture and ensuring legislative compliance
About You:
We’re looking for a practical, team-focused leader with a passion for high-quality sports turf and a commitment to supporting active, well-maintained community spaces, who meets the below requirements:

Qualifications in Turf Management and Certified Sports Turf Manager (CSTM)

Practical experience maintaining sports turf
-
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
-
Knowledge of irrigation, drainage, and safety standards

- Package: $104,345 - $122,876 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation. (Salary will be determined based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant).
- Hours of work: Permanent Full time 38 hours per week with a 9 day fortnight.
