The Community Facilities Manager, based at the Oak Flats Services Depot is tasked with a wide range of responsibilities that ensure the effective operation and maintenance of community facilities.

Your role will encompass the oversight of marina precinct maintenance, building maintenance, city presentation and cemetery management, all aimed at achieving high standards of service delivery.

Your leadership will drive the successful delivery of key projects and services, engage with stakeholders, and implement innovative practices that enhance our community’s facilities and services.

About the role:

  • Oversee marina foreshore maintenance.
  • Oversee building maintenance works and operational contracts for various services.
  • Implement and oversee maintenance and improvement programs for city presentation, including cleaning community facilities.
  • Manage Council’s customer focused cemeteries to meet community needs and regulations
  • Coordinate resources and manage budgets for operational activities.
  • Lead and support direct reports in their responsibilities and professional development.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and represent the team at relevant meetings.

About you:

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of relevant qualifications and experience, demonstrating a strong commitment to community service and operational excellence. You will be an effective communicator with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

  • Degree qualifications in engineering, project management, or construction management or substantially commenced.
  • Proven experience in managing diverse teams and operational functions.
  • Strong project management and financial management skills.
  • Ability to implement and review quality management systems and safety plans.
  • Current Class C NSW Driver’s License and relevant safety certifications.
  • Your ability to engage with various stakeholders and lead projects will be essential in this role, ensuring that community facilities meet the needs of our residents while promoting sustainability and quality standards.
