About the Role
Join our passionate Shoalhaven Water team on a permanent basis, working 38 hours per week. In this role, you will manage, coordinate, and execute multiple security and communications projects of varying complexity. You will collect customer information to evaluate and coordinate resources, design and oversee project installations within budget, and ensure maintenance processes meet Council and customer standards.
Reporting directly to the Coordinator - Communications, other responsibilities of this role include:
- Installation and maintenance of Councils Communications equipment, including working at heights on communication towers and poles
- Coordinate and complete multiple security/communications projects which all require:
- Assessment, allocation, and coordination of resources to meet customer needs
- Design of, planning and oversight of the project installation within agreed budget and time constraints
- Development of new equipment maintenance processes to meet customer needs
- Provide design, installation, maintenance, and repair services for a wide variety of communication systems and electronic equipment including two-way radio, Microwave and other electronic equipment, installation of cabling to ACMA Industry Registration standards, CCTV and security systems.
*Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position*

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Certificate III or equivalent in Electronics or related field.
- Post trade training in one or more specialist fields (ongoing).
- The following licences / registrations or demonstrated ability to obtain:
- Data Cabling Registration (with Cat 5,6, Coaxial, fibre Optic endorsements).
- Security Licence.
- Rigging Licence.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship.
