We're currently seeking experienced General Hands to join our Civil Maintenance Team. If you have a background in operating trucks, plant and equipment, and take pride in maintaining roads and civil infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a General Hand - Civil Maintenance, you'll support the upkeep and maintenance of public infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and other civil assets. Your day-to-day duties may include:

• Operating plant equipment: loaders, excavators, trucks, bobcats, rollers, and more
• Civil construction and maintenance tasks
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and utility plans
• Promoting safe working practices and identifying potential site risks
• Working effectively both independently and as part of a team

About You

You'll be an experienced operator with strong knowledge of civil works and a proactive, safety-first approach. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Criteria

• HR Truck Licence (Western Australia)
• First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid)
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Basic Worksite Traffic Management accreditation
• WORKSAFE WA High-Risk Work Licences: Forklift (LF), HIAB/Vehicle Loading Crane (CV), Dogman (DG)
• Competency in operating heavy equipment (e.g., excavator, skid steer, loader, roller, grader, water cart)
• Experience using hand tools, pumps, and power-operated equipment
• Understanding of WHS legislative requirements
• Experience reading construction drawings and DBYD plans
• Outdoor work experience in civil construction or similar industries
• Ability to work safely and follow instructions effectively

Bonus Skills (Desirable)

• Previous local government experience
• Additional machine operating tickets or licences
• MR licence
