The Opportunity
As the Citizenship Officer at the City of Perth, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the city’s citizenship program, as well as overseeing a range of civic and ceremonial events and services. This position involves providing professional support in the planning, organisation, and delivery of official functions that reflect the City’s values and commitment to community engagement
Reporting to the Council and Civic Team Leader Support, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and creative aspects of council hosted city events and the Citizenship process;
- Liaise with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australian Electoral Commission and other
relevant stakeholders as required to facilitate the citizenship process; - Plan and coordinate civic and ceremonial events and services on behalf of
the City; and - Prepare protocol briefs for the lord Mayor, Executive Leadership team, and other City of Perth staff for civic and ceremonial events.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Experience in a similar role, coordinating civic, ceremonial or comparable events;
- Excellent verbal & written communication;
- Project management and time management skills, including the ability to efficiently manage
multiple projects and priorities; and - Experience working with sensitive, political and confidential issues.

Eligibility
