 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Proven leadership in strategic development, implementation, and monitoring, with a natural ability to build positive working relationships and lead collaboratively.  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver results aligned with the Town’s strategies, navigating complex and politically sensitive situations effectively. 
  • Demonstrated experience in project and contract management, ensuring successful outcomes and compliance.  
  • Proficiency in interpreting legislation conducting research, and preparing reports and briefing papers on policies and emerging sector issues  
  • Demonstrated experience undertaking and/or managing strategic planning projects to support organisational objectives. 
  • Demonstrated risk management experience, identifying, and mitigating potential risks to the Town.  
  • Strong financial management acumen, overseeing budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation effectively.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing). 

 Qualifications and Skills: 

  •  Experience in local government or similar public service industry. 
  • Extensive experience leading/supervising teams. 
  • Highly developed Customer Service Skills. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline(s) to this position or demonstrated level of experience will be key to your success, with post-graduate qualifications in Engineering, Leadership, or a related field being held in high regard.  
  • Technical knowledge and/or management experience of key portfolio areas (Parks and Environment, Waste Management, Works, Assets, Civil, and Rangers).  
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant Local Government legislative and statutory requirements and/or contemporary governance principles and standards. 
  • “C” Class Drivers Licence 

 Employment Benefits 

 REMUNERATION PACKAGE INCLUDE:

  • Annual salary (cash component) $161,000
  • Superannuation 11% (SCG) $18,515
  • Professional Development Allowance up to $2,000
  • Use of Town vehicle (Private use)

  • Superannuation co-contribution (subject to individual contribution).
