The Role
Reporting to the
Director of Infrastructure Services and based in Windsor the primary purpose of
the role is to provide leadership, coordination and direction to, and be
accountable for, the delivery of Council’s various capital programs, including
the Capital Works Program, WestInvest Program and Infrastructure Recovery
Program.
The Program
Director will provide ongoing tactical and strategic support to the Director
and Executive, developing sound systems of work, processes and frameworks and
adequate project and program governance to deliver Council’s Capital Programs
proactively, collaboratively and responsibly.
About You
You will have
tertiary qualification in portfolio/program/project management or a demonstrably
related discipline with a formal certification in Project Management.You will have
excellent interpersonal,
communications and organisational skills to effectively engage your team and
maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with all relevant
stakeholders. You will have the ability to demonstrate highly developed problem
solving, critical thinking, negotiation and facilitation skills and the ability
to build collaborative and consultative relationships with stakeholders and
cross-disciplinary teams.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary
qualification in portfolio/program/project management or a demonstrably related discipline - Formal
certification in project management – e.g. PMBOK - Demonstrated
experience in leading and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery
of large scale, complex cross-disciplinary projects in a political environment - Demonstrated
experience in proactive stakeholder (internal and external) management and
consultation - Demonstrated
experience in the proactive management of contracts and contractors - Demonstrated
experience in communicating clearly and persuasively, adapting style and
message according to the needs of the audience, and the ability to formulate
detailed reports and documents that clearly, concisely and effectively address omplex and sensitive issues and enable management to consider prudent
decisions. - Working With Children Check
