Your Position:
Burwood Council is proud to offer a Cadetship with our City
Development team as we look to the future ensuring our staff have fulfilling
careers and are skilled and experienced to deliver high quality services to our
community. This cadetship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical
experience in building surveying while completing your degree.
As a Cadet Building Surveyor, you will:
- Be
trained and mentored by the Executive Building Surveyor, working with the
Manager City Development and supported by the City Development team - Support
the delivery of building surveying solutions, building safety upgrades,
fire safety programs, swimming pool safety and more - Be
involved in stakeholder consultation, community education, administrative
procedures including updating and maintaining registers and learn
compliance with planning and building standards
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be
currently undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Building
Surveying, and in your final or second-last year of your degree - Have
a current NSW Drivers Licence - Show
a willingness to learn and contribute positively to a team environment - Hold
a NSW General Construction Induction card (White Card) - Be
willing to undertake pre-employment screening, which may include a medical
exam and/or police check
