About the role
As a Crew Leader, you will be at the forefront of planning and delivering day-to-day maintenance works for bridge and jetty infrastructure. You'll coordinate a team of labourers, contractors and suppliers ensuring high quality results that align with environmental and WHS standards and play a crucial role in supervising site operations as well as managing materials, contributing to a safe and productive work culture.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Civil (Bridge Construction and Maintenance) works or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in similar construction works, ideally in the field of Bridges and Wharves, combined with ongoing professional development
- Current Safework White Card (general construction induction card) or equivalent
- Current SafeWork accreditation as a Traffic Controller (TCR)
- Current SafeWork accreditation to Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP)
- National Licence to Perform High Risk Work for Dogging (DG)
- Current MR Licence
- Current Coxswain Grade 3 Near Coastal or willingness to obtain
- Current Trim & Cut Felled Trees ticket
You will also be able to demonstrate
- Proven team leadership and people management experience
- ability to make operational decisions, manage workloads and build effective teams

Other important information
- The commencing salary for this position is up to $71.4K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $82.7K on completion of assessment of skills and performance 11.5% superannuation
- We have a permanent full-time role available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- This role is located at the Erina Works Depot
