• Salary $43,024.80 p/a to $55,816.80 p/a + super
• Temporary full-time position (up to 4 Years)
• 38 hours per week/ 9 day fortnight
• Undertake Sportsfield maintenance while studying to achieve a Sports Turf Management Trade qualification

About the role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice to join our team and start a rewarding career in Sports Turf Management!

Reporting to the Supervisor Sportsfields & Golf Courses, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the maintenance and care of sports turf, including mowing, fertilising, aeration, and pest control
• Support the preparation of pitches and grounds for matches, events, and training sessions
• Monitor turf health and report any issues with soil, grass, or drainage systems
• Collaborate with a skilled team to ensure the highest standards of turf quality
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in turf management

Required experience & skills:

• Year 10 Record of School Achievement or Higher School Certificate
• Commitment to complete the Certificate III in Sports Turf Management trade qualification
• Current Class C Driver’s licence
• Willingness to undertake WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) training
• Willingness to undertake Chemical AQF 3 training
