$76,520 to $85,602 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation, and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
In this position, you will primarily focus on providing high level administrative support to the Hornsby Shire Council Mayor and Councillors. This role reports to and supports the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer and contributes to the effective and efficient running of the Executive office. The Administration Coordinator has several key functions. In your new role, you will have responsibility for:
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Mayor, Councillors and the Chief Executive Officer as required
- Assisting the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer in running the day-to-day administration of the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer’s office
Position requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or proven experience in a similar role
- Current Class C Driver Licence
About you
The incumbent will need to possess the following:
- Demonstrated high level of administrative experience with proven accuracy and attention to detail
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Sound computer skills, with an accurate and fast typing speed
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good judgement and problem solving skills
- High level of discretion and sound judgment with confidential information
The role is based in a business office environment and there may be a requirement to visit other Council premises or related business premises in order to conduct the role. Variable work hours may be required at times.
