About the Opportunity Join Us as a Volunteer at the 2026 Parkes Elvis Festival!
Are you a fan of Elvis or just love great music and community spirit? Become a volunteer and be part of an unforgettable experience!
We are always looking for volunteers to help deliver the festival across our various venues. There are so many ways you can help, from greeting at the train station to providing visitor information and directions. Volunteering is a rewarding experience and a way to give something back to the community.
The Parkes Elvis Festival will be held from Wednesday, 7th January 2026 - Sunday, 11th January 2026, however we will be looking for volunteers between the period of Monday, 5th January 2026 to Monday, 12th January 2026 to assist with the setting up and packing down of the Festival.

Volunteer Induction Requirements
To participate in the upcoming festival, all volunteers must complete the Parkes Shire Council Volunteer Induction which is completed online.
Please note the following:
- If you are a new volunteer, you are required to complete the online induction before commencing your role.
- If you volunteered prior to 2025, you will also need to complete the updated online induction.
- If you are a returning volunteer who completed the online induction in 2025, you are covered for a period of three years and are not required to complete it again. Please indicate this in your application, and we will verify your previous completion.
You are required to attend the mandatory Parkes Shire Council Volunteer Information Session to participate in the upcoming festival. An in-person session will be held at the Cooke Park Pavilion on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, alternatively you can log in via the TEAMS link that will be made available prior to this date.
Working with Children Check
To create a child safe environment within the shire all volunteers will be required to sign Parkes Shire Council's Child Safety Code of Conduct. Volunteers engaged in child related areas will also be required to obtain a Working with Children Check and will be required to provide their WWCC number. To apply for a Working with Children Check and for more information please go to Office of the Children's Guardian website.

Council will not disclose your personal information beyond the relevant officers of Council unless required by law or you have given your consent. However, in order to perform the above functions, we may need to disclose some personal information to relevant Council committees. By completing this registration form you are giving consent to Council to manage your personal information in the manner described.
