As a Building Surveyor, you'll play an important role in delivering certification and development assessment services that support safe, sustainable and high-quality development outcomes.

You'll work closely with customers, developers, industry professionals and internal stakeholders, providing practical advice and helping navigate the certification process with confidence.

This exciting role will:

• Assessing and determining development applications, construction certificates and complying development certificates
• Acting as a Registered Certifier and Principal Certifier in accordance with relevant legislation
• Providing clear and practical technical advice to customers and stakeholders
• Working collaboratively to achieve positive and timely development outcomes
• Managing compliance and regulatory matters with professionalism and sound judgement
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the service

You're a qualified and registered Building Surveyor who enjoys helping people achieve outcomes while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

You combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and can confidently build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. You're solutions-focused, adaptable and enjoy balancing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Degree or Graduate Diploma in Building, or another relevant qualification
• Registration with NSW Fair Trading as a Building Surveyor (restricted Class 1 and 10)
• Experience in development assessment and certification
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
