About the Role

Manningham Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Service delivers
a high-quality program that supports the diverse and growing community of
Manningham. Our dedicated Maternal and Child Health nurses are passionate about
partnering with families to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive
environment where children can thrive.

We are seeking a positive, motivated, and compassionate
Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our collaborative team. In this role,
you will provide a flexible, universal, and family-focused Maternal and Child
Health service that supports the health, wellbeing, and development of children
from birth to six years of age.

Using a holistic, strengths-based, and family-centred
approach, you will work in partnership with parents and carers to maximise each
child's health and developmental potential while supporting family wellbeing.

About the Service

The Universal Maternal and Child Health Service aims to
optimise maternal, child, and family wellbeing, with a strong focus on
promoting positive mental health, healthy relationships, and early
intervention. Our service focuses on the prevention, identification, and
management of physical, developmental, emotional, and social factors that may
impact young children and their families.

Through health promotion, developmental assessments, and
timely referrals, we support families to access the services and resources they
need to achieve positive outcomes.

Skills and Experience

• Current registration as both a registered nurse and midwife on the AHPRA register, with Post graduate Diploma/Masters Child and Family Health Nursing.
• A demonstrated commitment to
  participate in continuous improvement, education, professional
  development, to increase knowledge and skills.
• Excellent
  communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge
  and understanding of family partnerships, child development and behaviour.
• Driver’s licence valid in Victoria.
• Working With Children Check
