JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead the learning experience that will help transform the way Council works.

Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced ERP Training Lead to lead the planning, development, coordination and delivery of organisation-wide training to support the successful implementation and adoption of Council's new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform and associated digital technologies.

Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts and change management leads, you will design and deliver high-quality learning experiences across multiple channels, while playing a critical role in driving user adoption, strengthening digital capability and supporting organisational change.

As the ERP Training Lead, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of organisation-wide training programs to support ERP implementation and ongoing adoption.
  • Develop training strategies, plans, schedules and learning materials aligned to project milestones and business needs.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to identify training needs and translate complex system and process information into practical, user-friendly learning experiences.
  • Coordinate multiple training streams, audiences and delivery channels while managing competing priorities within a complex project environment.
  • Develop high-quality training materials, user guides, user documentation, presentations and other learning resources.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions to employees across a range of roles and levels, including audiences with varying levels of technical capability.
  • Collaborate with change management leads to support user adoption, digital literacy and organisational readiness.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and identify opportunities to continuously improve learning outcomes and user confidence.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the training and implementation lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the successful transition from project implementation to ongoing business-as-usual learning and capability development.

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced IT training and learning professional who can combine strong technical understanding with exceptional communication and people skills.
To be successful, you will bring:

  • Minimum five years' experience delivering IT training, learning and development, or organisational capability programs, including experience leading enterprise-wide training initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training programs for ERP implementations or large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently engage audiences across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong capability in developing professional, accessible and engaging training materials, user documentation and organisation-wide communications.
  • The ability to simplify complex technical concepts and explain new systems and processes in a way that is clear and meaningful for non-technical audiences.
