About the role
The Business Support Officer provides effective administrative and operational support to the Business Unit Manager and the Education and Care Services team. The role ensures the smooth day-to-day functioning of the service by coordinating administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, supporting communication processes, and contributing to efficient service delivery for children and families.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary (TAFE, University, etc) qualifications in office management, accounting or bookkeeping, such as a relevant diploma, certificate or degree, or experience in business administration
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal advice/information, interact with a broad range of staff and external customers
- A current Working with Children Check Clearance and willing to undergo a police check
- Experience and demonstrated abilities in business support and customer service, including being proficient in using software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, purchasing and finance software
- Experience and demonstrated abilities in administering child care software systems such as Xplor
- Working knowledge of Family Assistance Law and its application in an Education and Care Services context
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, methodical thinking, accuracy and attention to detail, including being able to understand and reconcile accounts

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
