About the Opportunity

At PMHC, every employee plays a part in delivering positive
outcomes for our community. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tree
Team Leader
to join our Vegetation Operations Team.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will supervise and
support a small team delivering operational arboriculture services across
Council’s diverse public tree network, helping maintain safe, healthy, and
liveable public spaces.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Lead and support the arboriculture team in
    delivering tree maintenance works
  • Plan and allocate daily tasks across parks,
    reserves, roadsides, and other Council land
  • Undertake tree pruning, removals, inspections,
    and hazard assessments
  • Coordinate plant, equipment, materials, and
    traffic control requirements
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and
    Council procedures
  • Conduct toolbox talks and support on-the-job
    training for team members
  • Operate and maintain arboriculture plant and
    equipment
  • Respond to operational issues and contribute to
    continuous improvement initiatives

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture (Arboriculture)
    or equivalent, or Certificate II with a commitment to obtain Certificate III
  • Demonstrated arboriculture industry experience,
    including tree pruning and removals
  • Experience supervising or leading operational
    teams
  • Strong understanding of WHS requirements and
    SafeWork NSW Code of Practice – Amenity Tree Industry
  • Ability to undertake tree hazard assessments and
    inspections
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated
    computer literacy
  • Class MR Driver Licence

Desirable:

  • Experience using operational technology systems,
    including tablets, GIS software, Microsoft Excel, and work scheduling platforms
    (e.g. Monday.com) or similar systems

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per
week with 9-day fortnight)

Starting salary of $80,812.39 to $90,454.25 per annum
depending on skills and experience, plus 12% Super, and adverse working level 1
allowance
