About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the City of Sydney to lead the Homelessness team and support the management of the impacts of homelessness in the public domain.
In this role you will lead a dedicated team and ensure that operations are timely, effective and efficient and meet both expectations of visitors, residents and business whilst ensuring trauma informed and dignified care and support to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
You will develop strong strategic partnerships with other government agencies, sector and support organisations, peak bodies and work collaboratively to achieve strategic outcomes.
We’re looking or someone with:
- strong leadership skills, extensive management or operations experience, and experience in leading teams through change
- experience in stakeholder management
- experience gained through substantial experience and/or relevant training or qualifications in developing programs and/or services that promote and support community participation and outcomes
- strong understanding of community support in a local and global city context.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
